Nixon relies on state-of-the art routing applications to optimize its delivery system. The main objective of this effort is to improve customer satisfaction by ensuring that deliveries are on time and complete. Another result of Nixon’s route optimization effort is that Nixon’s Route Service Representatives (RSRs) are geographically based so customers that require delivery more than once per week can be serviced by a dedicated RSR.

By equipping RSRs with handheld computers, Nixon can better manage customer programs. While at the customer location, RSRs enter program changes and adjustments into the handheld device.The device is synchronized with Nixon’s route accounting system. This sophisticated system promotes customer satisfaction as program adjustments are executed quickly and with a higher level of precision.
